WHAT WE DO
A Good Therapist offers a range of mobile massage that will cover relaxation massage, remedial massage, sports massage, and the list and go on and on. The remedial world does incorporate specific remedial techniques, pregnancy massage, special needs treatments and lymphatic drainage.
Massage itself can benefit in so many levels that only your experience will tell. Relaxation, reduction of muscle tightness, de-stress, revitalization, promotion of body circulation and detoxification. It will magically relief the pain in your muscles, leaving you in a blissful wellbeing state.
Remedial Massage
If you have a particular muscle tension area or chronic pain, this type of massage may be for you. Your therapist will assess where you need treatment and what may be the source of your pain. Specific tests regarding the range of motion of your joints, muscle testing will be performed to try to determine the source of your pain, giving you a treatment tailored to your needs.
It is a combination of techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, gentle joint mobilisation, and even muscle energy technique. The treatment is designed to go slower deeper in specific areas of tension to stimulate the circulation and regeneration of soft tissue. Most of our clients usually start with a relaxation and as they progress they eventually come to experience the healing properties of a remedial treatment.
PREGNANCY MASSAGE
Your therapist will carefully assess your needs and see what challenges you may or may not be presenting with the pregnancy. Some woman are blessed and have no issues, but most ladies specially toward the end of the pregnancy present back issues, and other concerns. Your therapists will be there to assess and possibly help you with those concerns. Once that is done the therapist will position you on your side or make use of a pregnancy cushion, and proceed with the treatment.
We offer Prenatal and Post Natal massage exclusively designed for the new mums to be. Our therapists are specifically trained for Pregnancy Massage and all our massage oils are 100% safe for you and your baby.
Special needs
This is the solid basis of our massage practice. It deals with a great variety of clients, that deals with people that have a specific condition that are physically impaired.
What is a special need massage?
It's a specific a specific treatment designed to work with our clients particular conditions in order to help to relax their bodies. Our therapists are carefully trained for this type of therapy.
What is the process to have regular massage treatments for special needs clients?
First contact us. Dani, will come in person and assess the client and discuss with the client, family, carers, or whomever is involved in the carer’s team the type of treatment that can be offered. Treatments are fundamentally designed to support the clients, and a treatment plan is put in place. Dani will be constantly re-checking with clients, family and cares the progress of the treatment, and the technique itself gets alter as client’s requirements changed. In addition, Dani and her experienced team will be engaging with other health practitioners the client might be seeing, such as physiotherapists, occupational therapist etc.
What about safety?
Safety is number one priority for Dani, and all InnerBlue therapists. So learning how to manage clients that are immobile is fundamental. That is why Dani and our therapists are extremely careful when assessing and selecting an adequate treatment.
